Every variant gets its own card.

Splitmunk gives every variant its own card on your collection pages — without touching your theme code, breaking your filters, or getting your stock wrong. The variant split you never have to think about again.

Before → after

Five colorways, five cards — not one

Your snowboard comes in five colorways, but your collection shows one card. Splitmunk gives the Ice board, the Dawn board, and the Powder board each their own image, price, and link — right in your existing grid.

What you get

One card per variant

Every variant gets its own image, price, and link. Shoppers see the Ice board and the Dawn board side by side, not buried behind a click.

Your filters keep working

Splitmunk renders inside your theme's own product cards, not a layer bolted on top. Filtering, sorting, and pagination behave exactly as before — filter to Red and only the red cards remain.

Stock that's always right

Each card aggregates availability across that colorway's variants, so a sold-out card never shows as buyable. Hide sold-out colorways or badge them — your call.

Opens to the right variant

Clicking a card opens the product page with that colorway already selected — the board they clicked, not a blank picker. Size stays a choice there, where it belongs.

No code, clean uninstall

One theme app embed, enabled with a single click from the app. Remove it and the variant cards vanish while your theme stays untouched.

Featherweight on the storefront

About 4 KB, loaded only on collection pages, with lazy images and no layout shift. There's no Core Web Vitals hit and no wait for your shoppers.

How it works
01

Pick a collection

Choose which collection to split, right inside Shopify — no theme editor required.

02

Choose the split option

Splitmunk suggests an option to split on (usually Color); confirm it or pick your own.

03

Enable the embed

Turn on one app embed with a single click, and your colorway cards appear in the live grid.

Why Splitmunk

Reliability is the whole point

Never breaks your theme

It's a front-end app embed — no theme code is edited, ever.

Never breaks your filters

It coexists with Shopify Search & Discovery, re-expanding survivors after every filter and sort.

Never wrong on stock

Cards reflect real per-colorway availability, so sold-out options don't mislead shoppers.

Never slows you down

Under 4 KB, one batched Storefront API request, images that lazy-load — nothing that stalls the page.

And a free plan you can actually use: most variant-splitters lock their free plan to development stores, so you can't really try them on your real shop. Splitmunk's free tier runs on your live store.

Pricing

Free to start. Fair as you grow.

Splitmunk launches free with one split collection, running on your live store — not a locked-down sandbox. Higher limits and paid tiers arrive as Splitmunk grows, with no add-ons and no surprises.

Questions

FAQ

Splitmunk is in Shopify's app review now. Leave your email and we'll tell you the moment it goes live.

No. Splitmunk is a theme app embed that renders on the front end — it never edits your theme code. Remove it and the variant cards simply vanish, leaving your theme exactly as it was.

Yes. Splitmunk works inside your theme's own product cards and coexists with Shopify Search & Discovery, so filtering, sorting, and pagination keep working — it re-expands the surviving colorways after each filter or sort.

One card per value of an option you choose — usually Color, which Splitmunk suggests. A five-colorway snowboard becomes five cards; size stays a choice on the product page.

Your call: hide them, or show them with a "Sold out" badge. Either way, each card's availability is aggregated across that colorway's variants — and an in-stock card links to an in-stock variant.

No. Cards inherit whatever your theme's product card already shows — Splitmunk adds no cart or checkout UI. Clicking a card opens the product page with that colorway preselected.

No. Splitmunk is about 4 KB, loads only on collection pages, and batches a single Storefront API request with lazy images and no layout shift — so there's no Core Web Vitals hit.

Yes. The free tier covers one split collection and runs on your live store — not just a dev store, the way most variant-splitters gate it. Higher limits and paid tiers come later as Splitmunk grows.
